This WA-87 R2 is a second rendition of this famous clone. This clone aims to capture the sweet sound of the “Flower Power” sound of the 60’s, by recreating the classic Neumann U87. The WA-87 R2 uses a NOS Fairchild transistor and Wima film capacitors to achieve a close replica of the original. A redesigned Cinemag USA transformer gives improved frequency response and a higher-output level than the previous WA-87.
